According to its name, the restaurant "Le Grenier" was an ancient barn, of which it keeps bales of hay, old farm equipments and a wonderful fireplace.
The food is exquisite and wonderfully presented. Among the many courses we ordered (and the many I tasted), I particularly loved their stuffed rabbit with pesto mousse,
the pâté de fois gras with delicious blackberries and toasted bread
and the fillet of lamb with onions and roasted potatoes.
Not to wonder if I skipped the dessert (which it seems to be as perfect as all the other courses), and ordered just a simple espresso, with which I received some fabulous patisserie mignon.
In addition to the impeccable service, "Le Grenier" offers an extremely wide range of selected Italian and French wines, great to warm up each and every heart but definitely to avoid if a stop at the close Casino' de la Vallée has been planned.
Furthermore, Saint-Vincent is a renowned thermal location and it's a strategic place for those skiers, who want to change slopes and panoramas every day. Cervinia, Courmayeur, Pila and La Thuile are easy to reach and the very close opening of the Billia Hotel, with its huge Spa, will even increment the appeal of this beautiful valley in the north of Italy.
