Gli Ulivi

What a jem, Gli Ulivi! Whether you stop here for a quick lunch or for a romantic dinner, this restaurant will positively surprise you. The beautiful olive tree wooden floor, the refined little lamps hanging from the white ceiling, the country tables and the mauve material of the chairs, the fireplace...every piece of furniture contributes to create an elegant though familiar ambiance.

Private room for parties
Most of the ingredients used by the chef are grown in
the owner's countryside property, a fascinating relais near Monteleone d'Orvieto. Picked each morning and delivered a few hours later, their freshness makes the difference in every dish. The fillet is amazingly soft and the rice is garnished with a unique tomato sauce, that reminds me of forgotten flavors, while the tasty salads are labelled on the menu according to their amount of vitamins. And not to talk about desserts: a must! Fabiana and Roberta are so much in love with their profession to leave nothing to chance: even the bread they serve or the chips coming with the aperitif are strictly home-made! And if you taste their oil, as I recently did, you won't step out without buying a bottle. Some of their products are in fact for sale. And if you've already bought a present to someone special, you can ask them to have it hidden in a chocolate Easter egg that they'll make just for you!
