Work in progress...?

The last snowfall has caused many damages to a lot of properties, and spring is the best time of the year to fix them. This last week, while I was helping a friend with minor works, I took some pictures of those going on at the house in front of his. 

The first two are related to the first day of work...













...while the last two pictures have been taken the following day.

The guy is working on the top floor of a five-story building. Do you notice anything unusual (or maybe usual, at these latitudes) ? 
He has taken no safety measures at all...and, as far as I can see, he is not endowed with wings either!!!
So next time you read of a "white death", as Italian call those occurred while at work, you will have one more element to consider...
