About taking a break

I was ready not to go on holidays this summer. Too many tasks to accomplish before the beginning of a new school year. Too many future extra budget expenses related to my daughter's imminent college choice. And too much talk about Italy's critical economical and financial situation.
Well, take all these elements, put them in a shaker, add some strong sense of responsibility and...
Then I realized, I need a break from all the above mentioned. And I imagined just a few beautiful sunny days in Capri, my favorite holiday island in Italy, avoiding all kind of negative Tv news.

GROM

If like me, you lost your appetite because of the heat, and the only food you're looking for must be cold and refreshing, then try this ice-cream shop.

I am so glad, I bought some to keep in my refrigerator in case of emergency. This week is going to be the hottest in the whole summer!

La notte di San Lorenzo

The sky is clear, here in Rome. And tonight is the night of San Lorenzo, the night of the shooting stars. Each of these stars is believed to grant a wish. So I will lie down on a deck chair tonight, and stare at the sky, in search of as many stars as possible...

COROMANDEL

No doubt this a period of culinary experiences. A friend of mine just heard about this new restaurant, located a few steps away from Piazza Navona, so the other night, she organized a dinner there.

Coromandel carries only 26 seats, and is a very
