The flood of the Tevere
Yesterday, Rome had to cope with various problems: strikes, demonstrations and, therefore, traffic congestion. But none of them was so scary as the flood of the Tevere, that caused the closure of some main roads.
What strikes me most is that, if romans usually neglect their river, they seem incredibly attracted to it, whenever it shows its most dangerous aspect. As a matter of fact, yesterday a multitude of people crowded along its banks.
These photos, taken before and after the flood, provide a clear picture of the situation.
