Gina Restaurant

About ten years ago, the roman restaurants that looked different in interior decoration were definitely a poor handful. That's why I perfectly remember the day when I encountered Gina. What a surprise to me, a passionate lover of modern design, when I stared at its windows!
The large room inside looks completely white. White are, in fact, tables and chairs, wooden floor and ceiling, lamps and glasses, and even the old ceramic stove. What a romantic, dim-lighted ambience!
Today, the menu includes also pasta and meat dishes, though in early days it was mainly composed of a huge variety of sandwiches and salads.
My favorite one is
still "Siba", with apples, nuts, radish and goat cheese, but I also like "Kattibuale", a more dietary choice, made of white rice, corn and tuna fish on a bed of rocket salad. Delicious is their apple-pie with vanilla ice-cream and caramel sauce.
And, if even the art displayed on the walls meets your taste, remember that it is for sale!

A precious tip: for a relaxing pic-nic in the very close Villa Borghese gardens, ask for the Be-Romantic menu: tasty sandwiches come packed in beautiful baskets fully equipped with all what's necessary, including table-cloth and thermos to keep your coffee warm!
