Sunday's walk through art

As I said, I spent a week lying in bed. I rested, no doubt, but as soon as I recovered, I needed some fresh air.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?), on Sunday no car was allowed within the green area, which practically coincides with the entire city. So I wore a comfortable pair of sneakers and...went out.
My Sunday walk included:

a nice breakfast

a view of Saint Peter' s Dome and of the Vatican's pine trees from Via Candia

a booth selling flowers in Viale Giulio Cesare (spring is at the door...)

the river Tiber

an unusually deserted Piazza dei Quiriti and its beautiful fountain (1927-1928), which became immediately famous because its four nude female figures were considered "obscene" at that time

Piazza dell'orologio and its tower, built by Borromini in 1648

and the last movie directed by Mrs. Bigelow.

Definitely, an interesting Sunday.
It was a pity that, as I stepped out of the cinema, the rain was pouring, or I could have walked all the way back home by this amazing mild roman weather.
